    • Tr. pl. 87 or 86. Sea Schol. Bern. on Lucan 2.125 (Usener), Marius Caelium tribunum plebi sillanum de Tarpeio saxo praecipitavit. His identity remains uncertain, but he may be the tribune .whom the younger Marius, according to Dio 30-35, fr. 102, 12, threw from the Capitol at the time of the New Year sacrifice in 86. If the Marius in question was Gratidianus, date and occasion for the death of Caelius become less certain. See below, on Marius (42).
